I had two loves growing up: food and baseball.

Food brought folks together and Baseball taught me how to grind, stay patient, and take pride in the details.

This love for food started young in my grandmothers kitchen. From cakes and cornbread to full on family meals. Her kitchen showed me how a good meal could bring people together and leave them full in more ways than one. That feeling always stuck with me.

Bird & Batter is the meeting point of those lessons. From our Arlington trailer—just a long fly ball from the Rangers’ stadium—we’re slinging golden American waffles and crispy fried chicken, each dish crafted from scratch and named for our favorite plays. Every order is a chance to deliver that same belly-warm, soul-happy feeling Grandma gave our family.
